Xponents learned more about HTxAI – HTX’s artificial intelligence (AI) movement launched on 1 June 2024 – at a hybrid eXpresso! town hall on 26 July 2024.
The event featured live demonstrations of several AI solutions, including the Microsoft 365 Copilot, which were developed to enhance the work of Xponents.
The HTxAI movement was first announced at the recent HTX Convention. HTX Chief Executive Chan Tsan also spoke about the movement’s launch in interviews with The Straits Times and Lianhe Zaobao. As part of this movement, HTX will build up its research and development (R&D) capabilities in the field of AI, as well as develop AI solutions that can enhance the work of HTX and Home Team departments.
Ang Chee Wee, HTX’s Assistant Chief Executive (Digital and Enterprise) and Chief Artificial Intelligence (AI) Officer, said: “The introduction of Microsoft 365 CoPilot to our entire organisation signifies a pivotal advancement in the HTxAI movement. The AI-assistant will empower officers to fully leverage the potential of AI, enhancing their ability to create, communicate and collaborate more effectively and efficiently. This movement is aligned with HTX’s vision of exponentially impacting public safety and security, propelling HTX towards our goal of being an AI-first organisation.”
The AI solutions that were demonstrated at last week’s eXpresso! included:
- QCaption, which can automatically generate captions for videos, including live video feeds
- Paperwork, which can generate documents like tender evaluation reports
- Microsoft 365 Copilot, which can generate documents as well as manage MS Teams chats and MS Outlook mailboxes
