We brought the Halloween vibes during our first trip to Raffles Girls’ School, where we showed off AlchemiX, our deepfake detector
HTXpress made its way to Raffles Girls’ School (RGS) for the first time on 30 October 2024, bringing along with it immersive games and a showcase of AI deepfake detector AlchemiX, which was developed by our very own Sense-making and Surveillance Centre of Expertise (CoE).
Seeing as Halloween was just round the corner, this deployment included a “trick or treat” section, with students getting to win souvenirs after they were done checking out our mobile game vehicle.
Xponents who used to be students of RGS were also on site to share how their work at HTX lets them harness cutting-edge technology to keep Singapore safe.
We decked out our booth with festive Halloween gear. Even our beloved robo-pooch, Spirit-40, got in on the action! (Photo: HTX)

One of these activities had students band together to unscramble a QR code. Upon piecing together the code and scanning it, students would be greeted with another game playable right on their phones! (Photo: HTX)

We weren’t just spooky – we got spoofy, too! Students got the chance to learn how our innovative AI-powered tool AlchemiX distinguishes real photos and videos from deepfakes. (Photo: HTX)
Developed in-house, AlchemiX can also identify whether an audio recording is genuine. (Photo: HTX)
After learning about the frightening world of deepfakes, students got to spend some time with Spirit-40 and take it on a walk. (Photo: HTX)
