HTX and the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) signed a 3-year Framework Agreement (FA) on 20 August 2024.
During the signing ceremony, HTX Chief Executive Chan Tsan said: “This agreement makes a lot of sense as both organisations share many synergies and commonalities. I hope that this is the start of a long and fruitful collaboration.”
SUTD President, Professor Phoon Kok Kwang, highlighted the shared missions of SUTD and HTX and said: “SUTD is dedicated to trailblazing a better world by design, while HTX is committed to ensuring public safety. This alignment of goals will
resonate with many of our students who aspire to make a meaningful impact.”
Under this agreement, HTX teams will enjoy a streamlined process of engaging SUTD for Science and Technology (S&T) projects. Collaborations between the two sides are expected to accelerate technological innovation for the Home Team, groom the
next generation of S&T talents, and provide support for national security objectives.
The agreement will see HTX and SUTD collaborate on projects related to various S&T fields, including but not limited to:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Data Science
- Nanoengineering
- Robotics
- Social & Multimedia Analytics
