The Building & Infrastructure (B&I) Sustainment Centre (SC) in HTX plays a pivotal role in the Ministry of Home Affairs’ (MHA) physical infrastructure.
Our specialists, comprising architects, engineers, project and contract managers, provide indispensable support to MHA and its family of Home Team Departments (HTDs).
We manage the entire lifecycle of projects, from initial planning and design to construction as well as implementing maintenance and lifecycle renewal. This holistic approach ensures that our HTDs operate within an efficient and effective environment, allowing them to achieve operational excellence.
Our Key Pillars and Specialist Support Teams
The Project Development Pillar oversees MHA’s major projects, offering technical expertise and guidance to HTDs on building and infrastructure design and construction.
By collaborating closely with HTDs and other stakeholders, our project development team and in-house specialist support teams play a crucial role in the planning, design, and project delivery of key facilities and infrastructure that support Home Team operations.
The Infrastructure Management Pillar manages MHA’s portfolio of Home Team buildings across Singapore, ensuring our Home Team’s operational facilities are ready for their intended purposes through scheduled maintenance, preventive maintenance, and life cycle upgrades, enabling HTDs to operate without disruption and focus on their core missions.
The Contract Management Pillar oversees the contract lifecycle for building and infrastructure contracts, providing guidance on contract creation, execution and closure in accordance with the regulatory framework.
The Specialist Support Teams (Marine, Mechanical, Electrical, Sustainability, Workplace Safety & Health, Policy & Governance) provide specialised technical expertise and advice to MHA and HTDs covering marine infrastructure, mechanical and electrical systems, sustainable strategies, safety protocols, regulatory compliance, policy, and governance.
B&I SC continually pushes boundaries and explores new technologies and innovations to enhance our multi-disciplinary capabilities, enabling seamless and continued operations for MHA and our Home Team Departments.
