The ICT Infrastructure Sustainment Centre is dedicated to delivering robust and reliable information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure solutions that empower the operations of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).

This infrastructure encompasses a wide range of operations and support services for more than 300 ICT systems belonging to the Home Team Departments (HTDs). We work closely with the HTDs to enhance their digital capabilities as well as support their mission-critical operations.

What We Do

Operations and Support

Our team is organised into forward-deployed units and HQ support teams, which collaborate to deliver exceptional service and support. We are committed to continuous improvement and professional development, and we equip our team members with the latest skills and knowledge through ongoing training programmes and workshops. Our dedication to excellence enables us to stay ahead of technological advancements and deliver innovative solutions.

Network and Security Infrastructure and Server Management

  • Network and Communication Systems Support: We manage network-centric ICT systems in areas such as surveillance and monitoring, biometric clearance, and simulation. We also provide comprehensive enterprise network support for MHA, including routers, switches, wireless networks, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Infrastructure Security Operations: We perform infrastructure security measures such as regular vulnerability assessments, threat monitoring, and incident response planning. Through these measures we safeguard sensitive information and maintain the integrity of our critical infrastructure.
  • Server Management: We provision, oversee, and manage the physical and virtual infrastructure for more than 300 ICT systems, data centres, and server rooms. We also provide the essential infrastructure management and operations support for MHA’s systems. For example, our Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) team supports ICA’s infrastructure on a 24/7 basis for more than 30 critical operational systems for air, land, and sea checkpoints. Likewise, our Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) team supports the 995 hotline, Public Warning System, Emergency Broadcast System, and Hazardous Material Transport Vehicle Tracking System.
  • ICT Infrastructure Common Services: We provide a suite of Identity Services and Remote Access Services across the HTDs to ensure secure and efficient access to ICT systems for authorised personnel.
  • On-Premise Cloud Hosting and Operations Support: We provide on-premise cloud hosting, operations support, and scalable, resilient, and secure Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) services that empower our teams to deliver exceptional public safety and security outcomes.
  • Data Centre Services Management and Operations Support: We provide data centre management and operations support services on a day-to-day basis. We also provide proactive and preventive maintenance of power systems and other critical infrastructure such as uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and computer room air conditioning (CRAC) units.
  • Project Support Services: We provide services such as cabling, tech refresh for equipment, migrations, and data centre relocations to ensure that all systems are up to date and run efficiently.
  • WOG Support Services: We provide operations support for whole-of-government (WOG) services to ensure the smooth running and positive user experiences of these services.
  • Infrastructure Contracts Management: We provide timely updates of infrastructure contracts to ensure the uninterrupted provision of infrastructure and support services to the HTDs as well as the smooth running of the HTDs’ critical systems. 
  • Major Events Infrastructure Support: We provide the necessary ICT infrastructure to support major national and international events such as the Shangri-la Dialogue, National Day Parade, and Formula One race. This includes setting up and maintaining the required systems and networks.
  • Engineering: We provide the necessary engineering inputs for procurement submissions. We also drive system engineering standardisation, inspire innovation, and nurture leadership.
  • Governance and Control: We drive sustainment governance to ensure standardisation and quality through excellence in contract management and vendor management.
